Garland Explores: Amarillo. In 1974 artists buried a number of Cadillacs nose-first in a field near Amarillo. Now crowds visit the site daily and a large portion bring cans of spray paint to decorate the cars to their own tastes and purposes. The sculpture is a constantly changing interactive medium. Garland's Troop 57 visited the sculpture on their trip from summer camp in Colorado.
