Garland Explores: Lake George, Colorado. Lidderdale was a railroad station near the Platte River and several miles from current-day Lake George, at 8086 feet above sea level. Named after William Lidderdale, governor of the Bank of England and an early Colorado Midland RR financial backer. Trains stopped often to let fishermen off or pick up others. The station is very near the entrance to BSA Camp Alexander.
