The Plaza Theater is today used for live performances and is operated through the Granville Performing Arts Center. It was rescued from delapodation by Garland citizens through a bond referendum that paid for the restoration. However, for decades is was a center of activity in Downtown until newer, multiscreen theaters grabbed its customers.
